About US

With over 60 years experience, we will find the solution you need.

We are a medium-sized, family-run company based in Rottenacker in the heart of Upper Swabia in the south of Germany.

Since our beginnings over 60 years ago, we have made a name for ourselves particularly in the fields of steel fabrication and mechanical engineering as well as material handling and lifting equipment. However, we have also earned a reputation outside these areas thanks to our broad expertise and high degree of flexibility for customized individual and special designs. As a company with a lean and efficient structure, we are able to respond quickly to individual customer requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.

Our history

From a workshop to a modern family business - over 60 years of history

In October 1961, brothers Herbert and Traugott Dalheimer started their company in a garage and two years later moved into a new building on the outskirts of Rottenacker, where we are still based today.

In the beginning, DALHEIMER produced construction trailers and steel structures for bridge railings, but also hydraulic equipment for trucks, trailers for low-loaders, tipper bodies or tunnel oven lorries and the patented welding wire decoilers. Over the years, the product range was constantly expanded, including the production of components for construction machinery from around 1975 and rope pulleys from around 1980. DALHEIMER also focused on the development and production of components for lifting and material handling technology.

Milestones

On October 1, 1961, brothers Traugott and Herbert Dalheimer ventured into self-employment in a garage. Two years later, they moved their business into a new building on the outskirts of Rottenacker - where the company is still based today.

The product range was constantly expanded over the years. From the 1970s onwards, components for construction machinery were produced. In the 1980s, a new operational focus was set with the development and manufacturing of rope pulleys and components for lifting and material handling technology.

In 1997, the second generation, Petra and Arno Dalheimer, took over responsibility. The company was transformed into a GmbH and restructured. Petra Dalheimer has been managing director since 2008. Since the takeover, the production machinery has been renewed and expanded. Additional manufacturing equipment such as welding robots, boring machines, large lathes, a paint shop and a 3D plasma cutting machine have expanded the manufacturing and processing capabilities.

The administration, engineering and production departments use the latest ERP, CAD and FEM systems. These enable lean and efficient processes and consistently high information and product quality. On this basis, the company has been able to continuously evolve and grow.

The installation of a photovoltaic system enables us to cover up to 50% of our electricity requirements in an environmentally friendly way and take a major step towards sustainable production.

By regularly investing in our site, we ensure that our production is always at the state of the art. This makes us not only a reliable partner for our customers, but also a modern and attractive employer for the people in the region.
